Yes, you can pay nearly $180,000 for a Porsche and still end up with squeaky brakes. It’s quite common. You’ll end up with a remarkable machine that’s super fast and handles amazingly well, but the brakes will squeal like an ‘80s metal hair band. That’s what happens if you go with ceramic brakes. These are designed for racing machines, not fancy drive to the office roadsters. Ceramic brakes on a Cayenne Porsche do a great job at dissipating heat, critical at racing speeds, but they’re noisy. And they cost thousands of dollars to replace and don’t last as long as traditional brakes. So do yourself a failure and avoid ceramic brakes.
