When is the Last Time You Had Your Radiator Flushed?
If you can’t remember, you are clearly overdue. Most mechanics recommend you flush your radiator every 40,000 to 60,000 miles, or about once every other year, depending on how many miles you drive. It is essential to maintain an efficient radiator system. Flushing your radiator should be high on your car maintenance checklist for preparing for winter.
A radiator flush empties out the old radiator fluid and runs another cycle of clean radiator fluid through again. This new cycle is also removed in order to rid your system of any dirt, grime and other contaminants. It prevents build up in your radiator, helping it to run more efficiently, last longer, and perform better.Regularly flushing your radiator will also lubricate the water pump, lengthening its life. And while we are flushing your radiator, we’ll inspect your entire system. This way you can spot any potential problems before they become actual problems, before you are stranded on the side of the road in a snowstorm. Give us a call or fill out the contact form on our auto repair shop’s website. We can usually get you in pretty fast. We would love to give you offer free estimates and advice on repairing your foreign (or domestic) car. We’d love to let you know how long it will take to repair your car. Stop on by.
