Most Common Repairs Serviced by a Jaguar Technician

Jaguars are beautiful cars, but like anything else on the road, they have their repair issues from time to time. What are some of the most common repair issues we see as Jaguar mechanics? Transmission failures tend to be most common, especially for the years 2000, 2001, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, at an average mileage of 108,000. Coolant loss can be a problem as well. Jaguars often have a plastic coolant reservoir that has been known to leak. Sometimes the coolant gathers in the engine compartment or you lose it. That’s why we recommend periodic coolant reservoir inspections. Ignition coil failures tend to be common as well, especially for the years 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 at an average mileage of 108,000. Because the ignition coil issues tend to be so intermittent, they often fail to alert the Check Engine light.
