And the award for most innovative brand goes to… Audi!

The auto maker edged out rivals including BMW and Mercedes-Benz to claim the award at the Automotive Innovation Awards 2017. That’s good news for Audi repair.

Audi was also named the most innovative brand in the “interface and connection” and “vehicle concepts and body” categories. It’s enough to make an Audi mechanic proud.

“These awards show that we bring our brand claim – ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’ – to life, and are leading when it comes to many innovation issues,” said Rupert Stadler, Chairman of Audi’s Board of Management. “Especially in aerodynamics and lightweight construction, in connectivity, driver assistance systems and piloted driving, we are in a very comfortable position and are working hard to maintain our competitive edge.”

When European Cars Win

Though Audi won this round, it means good news all around for European and foreign auto repair.

“Make no mistake, Audi’s two rivals will be more determined than ever to spearhead their respective projects in innovation,” Kirby Garlitos writes in Top Speed. “That much we can all agree on knowing how these three automakers operate relative to the other two.”

When it gets dark brown, it’s time to be changed. Why waste money on oil changes when you don’t have to?
