What can we expect from the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLA later this year? We got a sneak peak this month from a single image released ahead of the model’s world debut at the Detroit Auto Show. Like Sherlock Holmes in mechanic Carhartts, our Mercedes mechanics have been eyeballing the photo under magnifying glasses ever since.
“The future BMW X1 rival gains a new grille with black slats, while the headlights have been slimmed and the bumpers have swapped side grilles for fog lights,” Autocar reports. “The changes bring the car’s design more into line with that of the car it is based on, the regular A-Class.”
Spy Shots, Rumors and Other Awesome Tidbits
Previous spy shots suggest “the car will run with a raised ride height, giving it a more rugged stance that moves its look closer to the realms of an SUV,” Autocar reports.
If you bring your Mercedes in for repair, the new model will be a subject our Mercedes technicians will definitely be chatting up. Will the BMW brakes be any better? What kind of BMW scheduled maintenance will the new model feature?
