Bond’s Jaguar Scheduled Maintenance: Best 007 Spy Cars

Posted 2/7/17

When your Jaguar scheduled maintenance  appointment is with Q, your name must be Bond, James Bond. The man with a license to kill also had a license to drive some of the most beautiful European cars ever to grace the pavement. The mechanics at our auto repair shop in Cincinnati are still in awe. In fact, Bond movies are one of the reasons many of us decided to take up import car maintenance  in the first place. Although Bond was known to drive the occasional Ford Mustang from time to time, most of his wheels of choice were imports, predominantly European.

Aston Martin, BMW and More: Only the Best for James Bond

Check out this extensive list of some of the best James Bond spy cars of all time. Quite a few on the list are BMWs, including the BMW Z8, The BMW 750iL, and the BMW Z3. Though all of BMWs were already pretty incredible when they left the factory, the Z3 was made extra special after Q was finished with it because of its parachute braking system. We’ve heard of great BMW brakes, but parachute brakes? Yeah, our BMW technicians are kinda jealous.

Some other stand out cars on the list include a handful of Aston Martins, of course. One of the most iconic Bond vehicles is the V12 Vanquish, though maybe not in the best way. In Die Another Day the Vanquish somehow got the incredible ability to turn invisible, which was (and still is) cited as one of the silliest Bond gadgets of all time. The Aston Martin DBS V12 and DB5 also showed up in some of the newer Bond movies with some more reasonable (and less fun) gadgets like hidden weapons and the essential ejector seat.

Who knows what Bond will be driving in the next film? Our money is on another incredible import auto.

Fluid Leaks: Signs You Need a Cincinnati Automobile Repair Shop

Notice leaks underneath your car when its parked in the garage? Get it into your local Cincinnati car repair garage as soon as possible. If the liquid is bright green, this is probably a coolant leak. Be careful to keep any pets away from it, as coolant is delicious but poisonous. Dark red or brown fluid could be transmission fluid, brake fluid or oil. If it’s summertime and the liquid looks like water, relax. This is probably from the air conditioner and is completely normal. If you just have a few oil drips and the car is older, it’s also not a big deal. Just be sure to check the oil often. A good idea is to check the oil every time you fill the gas tank, especially for any car over 10 years old.
